About the role
The Finance Business Manager is responsible for the timely delivery of On the Line’s performance reporting and analysis to the CEO and Executive team, with a continuous improvement mindset and best practice approach. Working closely with the Head of Shared Services and our outsourced finance partner, this role is responsible for undertaking cost analysis, performance reporting, management accounting and reporting, supporting the preparation of monthly financial accounts and reports, and assisting the Head of Shared Services with business process improvements.
Key tasks include:
- Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information
- Predicting future financial trends
- Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice regarding the impact of future business decisions
- Producing financial reports including budgets, performance analysis
- Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
- Reviewing, monitoring and reporting upon budgets and assisting with forecasting
- Developing strategies to minimise financial risk
- Analysing market trends and competitors
You will be joining a dynamic Shared Services team that includes HR, IT, Quality Risk & Compliance, as well as the Project Management Office. What you bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in finance or a relevant discipline
- Knowledge and understanding of statutory obligations for businesses
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance and business experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data integration skills
- Be a self-starter with a curious mindset
- Ability to work with the team in an agile environment
- Understanding of finance processes and strategy
- Understanding the importance of aligned and integrated core process development, analysis, improvement, and auditing
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities, work effectively in a busy and demanding environment, and meet established deadlines
- Demonstrate reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments, with an ability to set realistic goals, problem-solve and develop work priorities
- The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence will be required)
- A current National Police Records Check (or willing to apply for one)
- Working with Children Check (or willing to apply for one)
