Growth and Development Manager

The Growth and Development Manager is responsible for all aspects of business development to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes for the organisation and its customers (Government, commercial funders and end-user clients). Working as a key member of the Growth and Marketing team and a member of the organisation’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Growth and Development Manager will generate revenue to support On the Line’s growth, transformation and performance objectives.

The Growth and Development Manager is also responsible for reporting on business development metrics and financial targets that align to business goals; working with the Growth and Marketing team in developing and managing B2B databases; conducting market research and market segmentation.

Key Activities  

  • Developing and implementing an annual plan to develop business and grow revenue;
  • Identifying opportunities and building a new business pipeline through proactive identification of potential new funding partners;
  • Creating and developing long term relationships with potential and existing funders;
  • Developing relationships and partnerships with potential philanthropic partners and sponsorship opportunities; and
  • Identifying and managing service proposals, strategic bids and tenders, grants and other philanthropic proposals to secure funding.

What you will need to demonstrate

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, management, business administration and/or a relevant discipline and/or demonstrable transferable skills in a similar or related role
  • Extensive experience in a business development role with a work history that includes service industries, B2B and B2C, corporate and Government.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a pipeline and exceed financial targets.
  • Business development experience gained with a health and/or outsourced services environment.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of a business development strategy aligned to the growth agenda of an organisation.
  • Extensive experience in building strong relationships and strategic partnerships with senior key stakeholders in public sectors, industry peak bodies, commercial organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and delivering revenue growth opportunities through existing customers.
  • Experience in leading, project managing and delivering winning tenders and proposals.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present and pitch for work effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong ability to forward plan and solve problems.
